Swordland Showdown · checked 2026-08-07

Swordland is won on buildings, not kills.

Two alliances, up to 30 fighters each, one hour. Points come from holding buildings over time. Kills barely move the score.

Short version

  • Take Royal Stables first. It cuts teleport cooldown, and teleports are how you keep up.
  • Then Bell Tower, which speeds up every capture after it.
  • Swordshrine is the prize: 1,800 alliance points per minute, three times an Abbey.
  • Rally, do not solo. Solo attacks on a defended building feed the other side.
  • Send small players to collect Baggage Trains and Undercellars. That is real score, not busywork.

What each building pays per minute

Buildings generate points for as long as you hold them. This is the whole event:

BuildingAlliance points / minPersonal points / minWhat it does
Swordshrine1,800900Centre of the map. First capture also pays 9,000 alliance and 4,500 personal.
Sanctum1,200600Flank objectives. Two of them, so together they beat the Shrine.
Abbey600300Steady income. Cheap to take, easy to forget.
Royal Stables240Not confirmedCuts teleport cooldown by half.
Bell Tower240Not confirmedSpeeds up how fast you capture buildings.
Hall of Reformation240Not confirmedRaises combat power.
Mercenary Camp240Not confirmedLets you send mercenaries at enemy buildings without committing troops.

Read the two columns separately. Alliance points decide who wins the match. Personal points decide your own rewards. A player who spends the hour collecting loot can finish with strong personal rewards from a losing alliance.

Opening order

The four buff buildings pay almost nothing directly. You take them because they make everything after them faster.

  1. Royal Stables. Half teleport cooldown is worth more in the first ten minutes than any 240 per minute.
  2. Bell Tower. Faster captures compound across every building you take afterwards.
  3. Hall of Reformation, before the first big fight, for the combat buff.
  4. Mercenary Camp, to pressure enemy buildings without sending your own troops.
  5. Abbeys, then Sanctums.
  6. Swordshrine once you can hold it. Taking it early and losing it hands the enemy a loot pile.

Baggage Trains, which is where matches turn

A building banks about half of the points it has generated, visibly, above itself. Lose the building and those banked points drop on the map as Baggage Trains. Either side can pick them up.

Two things follow:

Undercellars spawn later in the match. March troops to them like a resource node. They pay both alliance and personal points, slowly, and almost nobody collects them.

Four mistakes that lose matches

  1. Playing it as a kill event. Kills are worth a little. Buildings are worth thousands per minute. A team that wins every fight and holds nothing loses.
  2. Solo attacks on defended buildings. Rally instead. A wiped solo march is free points and free tempo for them.
  3. Over-defending a position you cannot hold. Every minute spent there is a minute the Abbeys sit uncaptured.
  4. Registering inactive members. It affects matchmaking, and an empty slot is a role nobody is doing.

Bring healing speedups. Getting wiped is normal. Being unable to come back for the rest of the hour is what actually costs you.

Checklist

  1. Register active members only.
  2. Assign roles before the hour starts. Nobody should be deciding at minute two.
  3. Stables, Bell Tower, Hall of Reformation, Mercenary Camp.
  4. Abbeys and Sanctums for income. Shrine when you can hold it.
  5. Small players on Baggage Trains and Undercellars the whole match.
  6. Rally the defended targets. Never solo them.
