Why this guide argues with itself.
Most Kingshot hero advice is a ranked list with no stated conditions. A ranking cannot tell you whether to spend 600 shards, because the answer depends on your kingdom's age, the mode you actually play, and the star level you can finish rather than merely unlock.
What this site is
An independent, fan-made research guide to Kingshot hero investment decisions. It is written and maintained by one player. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Century Games.
How to read a page here
- Verified mechanics come from official Century Games pages or the structured Kingshot Data database, and are stated plainly.
- Player cases are individual reports. They are labelled as reports, quoted with the star and widget levels the player gave, and carry an explicit note about what they cannot prove.
- Editorial recommendations are this site's own reasoning. The decision briefing is one of these, which is why it says so on the page.
- Conflicts stay visible. Where public sources disagree, such as Yang's current acquisition route, the page says they disagree rather than picking a side quietly.
Dates and drift
Game balance, event rotations, and generation schedules change. Every page that depends on a drift-prone fact carries a last-checked date, and generation timing is given as the published typical unlock day, which is approximate and varies by server.
Pages that are not finished
The Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 pages are facts-only research previews. They are excluded from search indexing until their mode-specific decision sections are complete, because a page that cannot yet answer the question it is named after should not compete for the search that asks it.
